It is used to return the number of open file descriptors for each process. Hence,<\/p>\n<pre>(soft limits &lt;= hard limit)<\/pre>\n<h4><strong>Working with Hard and Soft limit values:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0<\/strong>For displaying the Hard limit.
