Orang bisa berubah,\u201d ujar Zainal Arifin Mochtar dalam sebuah video yang diunggah, dikutip Selasa (29\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Ia mencontohkan sejumlah figur publik. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harianaceh.co.id\/tag\/jokowi\/\">Jokowi<\/a> tahun 2014 berbeda dengan Jokowi tahun 2023. Yusril Ihza Mahendra tahun 2010 berbeda dengan Yusril tahun 2026. Rocky Gerung pun mengalami perubahan serupa.<\/p>\n<p>Sebagai akademisi, Zainal menjelaskan mengapa dalam penulisan ilmiah selalu mencantumkan tahun di catatan kaki.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kita ini akademis. Kenapa ketika menulis footnote ada tahun? Karena orang bisa berubah,&#8221; tambahnya.<\/p>\n<p>Karena itu, ia menekankan pentingnya membangun komitmen sosial, moral, dan kolektif, bukan sekadar bergantung pada individu.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Saya pun jangan Anda percaya. Siapa yang bisa menjamin saya tidak jadi pengkhianat berapa tahun lagi?\u201d tegasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Zainal juga menegaskan bahwa demokrasi tidak menciptakan malaikat. \u201cDemokrasi itu tidak menciptakan malaikat. Demokrasi itu menawarkan lesser evil.
